Aeon Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre

The building

The Aeon Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre is located in Port Klang, Malaysia. The building comprises three (3) storeys of shopping, dining and entertainment with a net retail area of approximately 102,000m², making it one of the largest shopping malls in the country.

The approach

Scientific Fire Services undertook a holistic performance based assessment of the single compartment, three (3) storey retail complex with respect to occupant life safety. The quantitative life safety analysis was conducted by the use of comprehensive three dimensional fire and smoke modelling (CFD) and emergency evacuation modelling software.
