The building

Meyer Timber Pty Ltd is a family owned business established in 1975. Over the years, Meyer Timber has become one of the largest timber wholesalers in Australia. Aside from traditional framing and flooring timber products, the company specialises in “Engineered Wood” products such as LVL, structural timber beams, Glulam members and Weathertex timber cladding systems. In 2017, the company’s New South Wales operation transferred across to a brand new purpose built facility in Penrith. The single storey warehouse and offices building provides approximately 20,000m2 of area enabling timber product unloading/loading capabilities and racked storage capacity. Although the building geometry and layout is very much typical of a warehouse facility, the 100% use of timber for the construction of the entire warehouse proudly showcases the LVL portal frames and Plywood box beam purlins.
