Fire and Disaster Challenges

IFCEM 2015 was held between May 5th and 7th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Two of Scientific Fire Services Directors, Mahmut Horasan and Parkan Behayeddin were invited as speakers to the conference.

Mahmut presented a paper titled “The Evolution of Performance Based Fire Engineering in a Constantly Changing Global Building Industry”. Parkan’s paper was titled “Fire Safety Engineering of Tunnels and other Subterranean Structures”. Both papers were well received by the very large number of delegates who attended the conference.
