SFS fire-engineers new firefighter training academy

Works recently commenced on the new western Sydney firefighter training academy for Fire and Rescue NSW, which was fire engineered by Scientific Fire Services.

The state-of-the-art facility in Erskine Park, to be completed in late 2017, will feature purpose-built training props to simulate fire, rescue, hazardous-materials and other emergencies, and also permit live burns.

With construction by Hansen Yuncken now underway, the six-hectare facility is set to boost the local economy, with the relocation of 150 permanent staff and up to 350 people expected on site each day.
